2010 Purebred Connemara Mare. ACPS Inspected and Approved. 14.2H, N/HWSD. Grey from Bay. Bella was the first mare we bought when we began our search. She came to New York from Colorado as a lanky 3 year old in the spring of 2014. Bella has since blossomed into the pony of a lifetime. Bella is the kindest and calmest pony, with just a touch of sass. She is smart, brave, safe, steady, and a lovely mover. She can pack around a toddler, jump a course, put in a lovely dressage test, and hack on the trails- all in the same day.
Bella has proven herself quite successful in her limited showing career. At the 50th Anniversary ACPS show in 2016 she was placed 2nd In Hand in a large purebred mares class by Irish Judge Tom Mac Laughlainn. She continued on to win the Hunter Under Saddle Cup that weekend, as well as every other ridden class (hunter and jumper) she entered. She has been shown locally in dressage, hunter derbies, eventing and hunters and jumpers with a handful of day end champion ribbons under her belt. She spent the 2021 season successfully eventing beginner novice.
Bella had a lovely buckskin to grey colt by *TBS Declan Pondi on May 20, 2020. Catskill Silver Sparrow headed to California upon weaning. Bella spent 2021 in training at Alliquippa Stables in Malvern, PA with Rocco Henderson and Hillary Moses.
