Catskill Connemaras is in the Northern Catskill Mountains in East Meredith, NY. Chad and Heather Magnan, with their daughter Willa, are continuing the prefix that Heather's mother Pat Norton-White started years ago.
Catskill Connemaras began in the late 90's with the purchase of Greystone McDickinson (pictured below), a halfbred gelding by Greystone McErrill, as Heather's pony club and eventing partner. Dickens was everything you could want in a horse, and made us fall in love with the breed.
Over the years Pat bred a few foals and still has a retired purebred mare at her farm in Bloomville, NY.
After years of research Heather selected and purchased the foundation mares of her breeding program. Heather is focused on breeding quality purebred ponies with exceptional temperaments, correct conformation, athletic ability and to the American Connemara Pony Society Breed Standards.
Ponies that are family members as well as true competitors are what we strive for.
Heather was the ACPS Region 2 Chair and sat on the ACPS Board of Governors as Regional Governor for the last 10 years. She is Chair of the ACPS Promotions Committee.
